Together with a team of residents I took 70 of your letters to a meeting with Chris Hayward, the Chair of the City of London Planning Committee.
After residents meetings where we agreed our agenda we went with three specific demands.
The representation from the City of London agreed to each one.
They agreed to an extension to the planning period beyond February.
They agreed to ask Guinness to provide better information for residents including:
A permanent 3D model on the estate with easy to understand plans
A clear and concise booklet for every resident on the proposals written in plain English and Bengali with sketches and mockups of the estate, communal areas and homes proposed.
To ask Catriona Simons, the CEO of Guinness to meet with residents at a public meeting on the estate organised by our team.
Chris Hayward, Chair of the City of London Planning Committee agreed to meet with us on the estate at the end of January to discuss next steps
This is the start of a longer journey but it just goes to show that if we organise We Can Win!
